Clara FRITCHLEY
BPsych(Hons), MClinPsych, PhD Candidate
Clara holds an Honours degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, both from Macquarie University. She is currently undertaking a PhD with the Matilda Centre, University of Sydney. Clara is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). She is eligible for the Clinical Psychologist rebate through Medicare.
Clara’s work within the private and public sectors has provided her with experience working with adults and adolescents with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, substance abuse and traumatic stress. She has worked providing therapy both to individuals and in group settings. She has also spent a number of years working on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy programs for both adults and adolescents with emotion regulation and relational difficulties.
Clara is a warm and compassionate therapist who values the uniqueness of each individual’s experience. She offers a respectful and validating environment, providing a space for people to explore their struggles and needs in ways that encourage change and growth. She feels passionate about helping people flourish in their lives and to develop a greater capacity for resilience, as well as develop positive and meaningful relationships with themselves and others. Clara uses an evidence based and collaborative approach in her work drawing on a number of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help people achieve their goals.
